Surah Al-Masad
Translation: Saheeh International
- Verse 1
تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ﴿١﴾
May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.[1]
- Verse 2
مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ﴿٢﴾
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
- Verse 3
سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ﴿٣﴾
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
- Verse 4
وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ﴿٤﴾
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.[1]
- Verse 5
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ﴿٥﴾
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
