Is it permissible to use the name Jalil?

My husband is called Jalil. I am wondering, is it permissible to use this name Jalil?

I put this question to our shaykh, ‘Abd ar-Rahman al-Barrak (may Allah, may He be exalted, preserve him), and he replied:

It is permissible to use the name Jalil and there is nothing wrong with that. End quote.
